Standard announces changes to North American sales team

Standard Finishing Systems, a supplier of post-press and paper handling solutions, recently announced changes to their North American sales team. These changes, effective immediately, affect several regions in the U.S. and Canada.

Mark Culley, formerly an Account Executive and Print Finishing Specialist at Mid-State Litho, Inc., has been hired as the new Territory Sales Manager for the upper midwestern states of Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, and North Dakota. Culley has more than 30 years of experience in the industry, a majority spent as the President of Gatherall Bindery, Inc. in eastern Michigan. Culley will report to Mark Brown, Regional Sales Manager.

Virginia DaCosta, who joined Standard in 2022 as an Account Sales Manager, was promoted to the Territory Sales Manager for eastern Canada covering Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritime provinces. She previously worked at RM Machinery, Inc. as a Regional Sales Manager and at Heidelberg Canada as an Account Representative. DaCosta will report to Karl Belafi, Regional Sales Manager.

Karl Belafi, formerly Standard’s Territory Sales Manager for all Canadian provinces, was promoted to Regional Sales Manager for Canada and the western United States, including Washington, California, New Mexico, Wyoming, and more. Before joining Standard in 2020, He held a variety of roles at KBR Graphics, an independent print equipment dealer owned by the Belafi family. Belafi will report to Paul Steinke, Director of Sales.

Frits Knepper, previously Standard’s Regional Sales Manager for the midwestern and western U.S., was promoted to Strategic Account Manager. In this new role, Knepper will assist and direct the North American field sales team in the handling of strategic key accounts. Active in the industry for over 30 years, he got his start as a Regional Sales Manager for C.P. Bourg. Knepper will report to Steinke.

Steve Martinez, previously Standard’s Strategic Account Manager, was promoted to National Sales Manager where he will be working closely with Steinke to manage all field sales activities across the U.S. and Canada at Standard. He has been at Standard for 18 years, beginning as a Territory Sales Manager in 2007. He has nearly 40 years of experience in the print industry.
